Melrose Place Kitchen | Read their story & feedback
Brief - what we wanted: To transform a separate 1960s kitchen and dining room into a 21st century, modern open plan kitchen/dining area.
Things to include: breakfast bar, more bench space, including an under mounted sink, more storage, including a pantry, utility cupboard, and draws instead of cupboards, task lighting and maximize natural light
Outcome - what we got: The kitchen exceeded all expectations with all aspects of the ‘brief’ being met, and has transformed the way we live and use our house.
Challenges: The kitchen dining area was part of a wider renovation project. Lara was always readily available to adjust any designs if needed, and Bruce worked in seamlessly with all the other trades on site.
Special Features: Bruce and Lara’s expertise and vision during the design phase helped us realize what we were envisioning.
We had a waterfall end added to the stone bench
We also used the same stone as a splash back which really ties the kitchen together
Floating shelves were added which enabled us to inject some color and plant life into the kitchen
The handle less soft close draws are fantastic, keeping the clean lines of the kitchen
A ‘bulk head’ was added above the cabinetry which really gives the kitchen a ‘floor to ceiling’ look and with the addition of the ‘negative detail’ really makes the kitchen look sleek.
Special Mention:
Lighting was added to the bench top cabinet, which ‘hides’ all the day to day appliances.
A custom made pantry and utility cupboard was fabricated to take advantage of additional wall depth we had available.
Bruce and Lara were extremely helpful in helping choose the right shades of white and timber used in the kitchen design.
Bruce’s industry knowledge and connections enabled us to purchase our appliances with a much appreciated discount.
Happy Client: We are absolutely thrilled with our kitchen/dining renovation designed and installed by Capital Kitchens. Lara’s design exceeded all our ‘brief’ requirements. Her patience, vision and communication during the entire design process was unwavering and very much appreciated. Bruce’s installation went exactly to plan and his craftsmanship and attention to detail has really given our kitchen the WOW factor we were after.
Capital Kitchens have something that is often lacking in this ‘fast paced modern era’, and that is the personal touch of listening and understanding to what is required and the craftsmanship to complete the job to exceptional standards.
