Brief - what we wanted:  We were looking for a large island and plenty of storage, being easy to clean and with a quality finish and presentation -  given that this kitchen is not only used as a home kitchen.

Outcome - what we got:  We got exactly what we wanted, we can easily seat guests around it, it is ideal for large gatherings, the storage available in the kitchen is perfect, the inserts and pull outs are fantastic – as well as the pop out under bench drawers.   The plan and schedule was defined up front and it was carried out without any issues.

Special Features we love:  I love my kick drawers, great for hiding away my baking pans and large platters.  I adore my pots and pans cupboard, as it brings the pans out to meet me, no having to delve into the back of the cupboard.  My pullout pantry is perfect, I use it to store all my dry goods.

Specs: special mention on any of these: Cabinetry – Bruce’s advice on shrink wrap over painting on cabinets was spot on.  We have not experienced any chips or marks even after 4 years.  We went with engineered stone for the benchtops and it has been a very practical choice.  I run cooking classes out of this kitchen, so hygiene is paramount, and the ease at which these surfaces clean up, allows me to maintain good cleaning practices.  

Love our hardware, we often receive compliments on the style and design of our kitchen, we have even had someone mention they have “Island Envy” I often receive compliments through my business page about the style and comfort.
